Democracy Manager
Michigan Voices is seeking a Democracy Manager to help coordinate and support our Democracy partners’ election protection and voting rights work. The Democracy Manager will work with a diverse group of statewide and national partners to coordinate efforts that ensure secure, safe, and accessible elections for Michigan voters. The ideal candidate has a record of recent pro-democracy and electoral efforts in Michigan, as well as strong grassroots relationships, and experience working with statewide, government, and major progressive groups. We’re looking for someone who understands Michigan’s political landscape from a micro and macro perspective, and as such, they should be able to navigate the commonalities and tensions between national and local priorities.
As facilitator of the Democracy Workgroup, they will successfully coordinate pro-democracy and electoral resources to partners. They are a team player with a grasp of how marginalization and voter suppression can hinder communities from participating in Michigan’s elections. The Democracy Manager is an innovative leader committed to social justice, advocacy, coalition building and positive change.
The Democracy Manager will report to the Director of Communications and Coalitions, and will supervise the Democracy Coordinator.

This individual will be a high-energy, skilled leader who thrives in a fast-paced work environment, learns quickly, thinks on their feet with superior communication skills, has experience working within coalitions, and knows how to build both internal and external relationships to move the work forward.
The Reproductive Justice Coordinator will work heavily with our Reproductive Justice Workgroup co-led by partner committee co-chairs, and will oversee the 501c3 Education and Outreach program related to reproductive justice and intersectional issues. The Reproductive Justice Coordinator will report to the Director of Communications and Coalitions.
